LIONS GATE HOTEL

Originally built in 1939 as the Officer’s Club on McClellan Air Force Base (see photo), the property was later transformed into the Lions Gate Hotel & Conference Center, preserving its historic charm while incorporating contemporary amenities.

Nestled in the heart of what became McClellan Business Park, it offers 112–122 guest rooms, suites with kitchenettes, outdoor pool, meeting spaces, and complimentary breakfast—blending military heritage with modern comfort. Several of its rooms were repurposed from former Air Force barracks, giving guests a literal glimpse into its military past.

Established in 1935 as the Pacific Air Depot and officially dedicated in April 1939, McClellan became a major logistics and aircraft maintenance hub during WWII and the Cold War. It employed up to 26,000 people and was the largest industrial employer in Northern California.
